· The Springs Resort Internship application deadline is March 8th, 2024
· The Springs Resort will perform virtual interviews April 1st – April 5th, 2024
· Internships will be awarded and announced April 12th, 2024
· The Internship program begins June 3rd, and ends August 9th, 2024.
· Subsidized housing details will be provided by May 1st, 2024
· Transportation will be the responsibility of the intern
· The student is an employee of the business Presidian Hospitality and The Springs Resort for the 10-week semester.
· 10-Week Internship will include
o 4 weeks Front Office Experience
o 2 week Housekeeping/Laundry Experience
o 2 week Hotel Maintenance/Grounds
o 2 week Front Office Management Experience
· In the event of dissatisfaction with their job, the student must first attempt to resolve their issue with the employer’s line manager or Director of People and Culture
· A student who lives in one of The Springs Resort approved housing facilities is a resident of that facility and must agree to and sign a lease that is provided by the housing facility. The Springs Resort does not own or operate the housing facilities. Issues with housing must be addressed with the facility.
· Roommate issues must be directed to the designated housing facility manager.
· Transportation to and from work is the student’s responsibility.
· Volunteer activities and other The Springs Resort sponsored events will be offered as a part of the Summer Internship program. To participate, each student is responsible for notifying their employer and securing approval for time off, if it is during scheduled work hours.
· Meals are not included as a part of the Summer Internship program. Students should review their lease and refer to their housing facilities guidelines as it relates to food storage, cooking and dining areas.
· In the unfortunate event of a student’s early dismissal from The Springs Resort Internship 10-week semester program, employment will be terminated. Early dismissal includes: student’s request to end the internship due to personal reasons, failure to make required payments, unsatisfactory job performance resulting in separation, housing violations/eviction/lease termination, unresolved roommate grievances, safety violations, use of drugs and alcohol and conduct that is damaging to Presidian and The Springs Resort. Behavior that endangers themselves, other students or employers is also subject to dismissal. Extenuating circumstances will be evaluated on an individual basis. Or violation of any policy set forth in the Presidian Handbook or The Springs Resort Department Policy.
